Now Offering - - PET/CT Imaging: Providing Answers

Beginning in May of 2007 we will begin offering PET/CT scans on our new Discovery ST scanner from GE Medical Systems. Discovery ST, a two-in-one medical imaging technology, helps your physician quickly determine whether you have cancer, if it's spreading, whether your treatment is working or if there's recurrence.
In one exam, this system generates two essential types of medical images - PET and CT - then merges both into a single information-packed image. Discovery ST helps your physician understand the exact location and extent of your cancer, to develop the most effective treatment plan possible.
Additional Services
Our Comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging Department provides outpatient and inpatient services to thousands of patients each year. In 2002, we completed our 2-year, $4 million investment in additional progressive technology to help satisfy the extensive needs of our patients, complement the expertise of our Radiologists and provide our Radiology technologists with the effective equipment they need to deliver quality care to our patients.
In addition to our Pet/CT scanner our department offers a range of diagnostic equipment including:
- Two Nuclear Medicine cameras
- Two CT Scanners
- Two Ultrasounds
- a Short-bore MRI
- Two Mammography suites as well as standard x-ray equipment
Our FASTrack phone pre-registration system enables our patients to conveniently have most paperwork completed prior to the day of their test to diminish waiting times and provide more relaxation.
These services are available throughout the week and are scheduled by the physician offices via telephone or Internet. Extended hours are now available during the evening and on Saturdays to provide more convenience for our working patients and parents.
