Orthopaedic Center of Excellence

South Baldwin Regional Medical Center (SBRMC) has a newly-designated Orthopaedic Center to provide dedicated resources, new technology and enhanced patient care in one convenient location.

The center is located in our new West Wing, an attractive, updated space completed as part of our recent facility expansion. A six-room suite of treatment rooms, along with a dedicated therapy area will be staffed with a center support team. The team members include orthopaedic surgeons, specially trained and certified orthopaedic nurses, a dedicated physical therapist and a patient education nurse specialist. Physicians affiliated with the Orthopaedic Center will treat patients in a recently enhanced and specialized surgery area complete with advanced technology, surgical equipment and amenities.

Additionally, our joint camp, sponsored by the center, is a structured program that provides surgical candidates referred by their orthopaedic surgeon with education regarding the procedure, hospitalization, recovery, physical therapy and other related processes involving a joint replacement.
