Requirements
For Acceptance
The
South Baldwin Regional Medical Center family medicine residency participates in ERAS®, and will consider only those applicants who apply through the Match process. All applications will be screened for eligibility, and qualified applicants will be offered an interview before the Match deadline. Preference will be given to applicants who have graduated within the past two years.
Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment at the PGY-I level:
- Applicants must participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
- Applicants to the residency program must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Applicants must have taken USMLE Steps 1 and 11 (pass first attempt and score of >215 preferred)
- Applicants must have taken Comlex (passed first attempt and score of >485 preferred)
- Applicant must have at least one year of continuous and current education (either medical school or post medical school) in the United States
